Welcome Fellow Spotter

Please take a few minutes to read this introduction to enable you to get the best from this website,
bookmark it come and visit often,
I hope you enjoy your visit and thank you.

This site contains over 800,000 (SEARCHABLE ONLY) entries,
which equate to well over 1,750,000 individual helicopter registrations
taken from any available publications that contains information, dating back over 40 years!
Mainly Air-Britain, LAAS, Scramble, Air Pictorial, AMCAR and Ian Allen, to whom I send a heartfelt thanks,
to which I've added the 'down-loaded' files from Jos Stephens and some from Patrick Bruggier (all un-official)
plus: New Zealand, Australian, Spanish, British, Brazilian
South African, Canadian, and U.S. Civil Aircraft Registers from official sources.
Along with help from Dave Lenton, for that super German Register he has published.
These have then been trimmed down to give just 1 entry per airframe,
and updated from information from the above sources to try and keep it current,
along with fates of those non-current airframes slowly being added.

Meaning that if you need a helicopter registration for any reason,
(I should -- or eventually will)
have it somewhere on this website.

As We have ALL mis-poled / mis-read or mis-noted a registration
I couldn't find anything on the world-wide-web,
where I could find ALL the information on any helicopter I was trying to locate,
whether I needed to know where it went, or what it was,
to fill the gaps in my log-book,
so I started off with this database as a way of trying to fill those gaps.
It is still a long way from being complete, but I haven't the time to do everything at once.

As most of the data comes from un-official sources,
the accuracy cannot be 100% guaranteed,
but through stringent and diligent cross-checking of everything,
I am confident at least 95% is correct.
(finger-troubles excepted of course, I am only a human after all!!)

So to quickly explain:

The REG'N column is the last found marking carried by the airframe.
The TYPE column is the aircraft type (with modifications indicated by the symbol '»' and then the modified state), but only where known or found.
The CON-NO column is my variation of the manufacturers build number/serial. Which I use the type as a prefix to aid the database sorting index.
The HISTORY column shows all the markings the aircraft has carried, (or those NTU - not taken up - if known), starting with the first marking and ending with its current one.

Please note that I am spending over 50 hours every week, updating, adding,
changing and checking the database
so it is always changing, dependant on which publication I'm reading at the time,
so come back often and see if I've added that which you require.

You will notice that I have not put any contact links on this site,
because I don't have time to answer those questions you might have
and everything I have is available on this site!
