Burford - Rev. R.M. P. Bulteel, Trinity Church, Brantford, conducted funeral services, Saturday afternoon for Henry Blancher, whose death occurred Friday morning at the Brantford Sanatorium, in his 60th year. Mr. Blancher was well known in this vicinity, having lived in the village for a number of years. He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters, Court Burford, and attended Trinity Anglican Church before he took up residence in Brantford a few years ago. Following the service conducted from Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, Brantford, interment was made in the local Trinity Anglican Cemetery. The pallbearers were relatives and old friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, besides his widow, one daughter, Mrs. W. Stafford, at home and Wilfred Blancher, Oshawa; three brothers, John of Ingersoll, Christopher and Charles of Ayr." - provided by Shirley Harrison

6. "Entered Into Eternal Rest on Saturday, August 7, 1965 MRS. MARY VANKUREN; Mrs. Mary (Blanche) Blancher VanKuren, 82, died today at the John Noble Home. She was born in Burford, a daughter of the Angus Johnson and Mary Heron Johnson. She had lived in Brantford for the past 32 years, but prior to this had resided in Burford. Mrs. VanKuren was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Surviving are two sons, Wilfred Blancher of Weston and A. Lorne Blancher of Brantford; one daughter Mrs. (Marquerite) Stafford of Brantford; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. VanKuren will be at Thorpe Brothers' Funeral Home from Sunday evening. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 PM. Rev. C.S. Inder, rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church will officiate.
