Gertrude Wagner of Springfield passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital
on Tuesday, April 17, 1979, in her 77th year.
Born in West Oxford Township, July 28, 1902, she was a daughter of the
late John Blancher and the former Margaret Barber. She was a member of Springfield
United Church.
Mrs. Warner was predeceased by her first husband, Mervin Ellis in 1949.
Surviving is her second husband, George Warner; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Donna)
Bartlett of Tillsonburg, Mrs. Lorn (Marlene) Wagg of Oshawa and Mrs Melville
(Nora) Adolph of Tillsonburg, and Glen Ellis of Golden Lake; four sisters, Mrs.
Frank (Nora) Harcourt of Woodstock, Mrs. Mansel (Ruby) Gardiner of North Augusta,
Mrs. Harold (Madeline) Carter of Ingersoll and Mrs. Elmer (Mineatta) Jorstad
of High River, Alberta; four brothers, Sandy Blancher of British Columbia, Ashton
Blancher of Ingersoll, John Blancher of Englehart and Harrison Blancher of Aylmer;
12 grandchildren; and three-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Miss Evelyn Ellis in 1940 and by two
sisters and two brothers.
Resting at the H.A. Ostrander and Son Funeral Home where service will be
held Friday, April 20, at 2 pm. conducted by Rev. George Shields of Littlewood,
United Church.
Interment in Delmer Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association would be greatly
